Comes To Sheffield
A photo exhibition not for the faint hearted
Jacqui Bellamy of Pixelwitch Pictures is gearing up for her first solo exhibition ‘Latrino Gals’. And being the resident photographer of nationally renowned club night, Razor Stiletto, the images will no doubt raise a few eyebrows.
On how the exhibition came about, Jacqui says “I‘ve been taking photos at Razor Stiletto and Lost Vagueness and inevitably I’d end up in the ladies [toilets] snapping the women queuing, chatting, putting on make-up etc, so it seemed natural to move into the toilet cubicle, using it as a frame for the women’s vibrant personalities and dress.”
The exhibition to be held at The Forum bar will showcase 8 specially chosen A1 size prints. There will be a limited edition book which will be for sale during the exhibition.
A special preview, which will be open to the general public, on Wednesday 13th August will be part of Wednesday Night Live. The doors open at 7pm, but for those who aren’t shrinking violets, Jacqui will be holding open shoot in the toilets of The Forum from 4pm (email latrinogals@gmail.com for more info).
Exhibition dates: 14th August – 28th September. Open daily 9am – 11.30pm.
